The one with the boot? Superheat switch on the back end of the a/c compressor. If it's missing, don't worry. At least you won't have to stock up on the thermal limiters.
I thnk the same guy that came up with that system designed the gas-to-diesel Olds 350 conversion.
looks like the heat switch plug, which is on back of compressor . Assuming its the same as my 72 would go to a prong sticking out of back of compressor.
If your compressor still has it installed, there's a single pin sensor held in the back of the comressor with a snap ring. If it's not there, I's tape that connector back into teh harness and be done.
In '72-'73 I was working for the rental car shop of a large Chevy dealer- I used to carry one of those limiters in my pocket. Customer would stop by, "My A/C is not cold!". Stick a new thermal limiter in and the compressor would start running. Easier than getting them another car.
