Default fuel line....how big?

alright all this info is in my other thread but its a 383 , gm fastburn head, 750 demon ,crane 490 lift - 292 duration hydraulic cam. cam rev range will be 2600 to 6400 RPM . i'll be most likely running a holley mechanical pump.

will 3/8 fuel line cut it or should i go to 1/2 ?

I ran a very similar 383 combo with a 3/8 fuel line no problem. Mine was at 400 rwhp and ran to 7000 rpm. You should be fine with 3/8 line.

My Holley fuel injection unit specifies a 3/8" line and it is rated up to 900CFM

3/8 line (and the correct choice of fuel pump) will support way more horsepower that you'll want to drive on the street.

I have run low 12second 1/4 mile times on stock 3/8 fuel line but, used a Cater NASCAR fule pump to pull my fuel up to my Holley.

Mine runs high 10 sec. 1/4 mile times with the stock 3/8 line, and I use a 170 GPH mech. fuel pump feeding a Quick Fuel 950 (Holley) carb. Adequate fuel through 7000+ rpm.
