Dually any pics of your Pro Street 57..I love tri 5s...I have a Tubbed 4 link 55 Belair with a 6-71 blower, enderle fuel injection and a 2 stage shot of nitrous sitting on a stout SBC...Never ran the quarter(Basically a shoiw car/Trailer queen) But I have on occasion driven it on the street in between gas stations....And I Think I might be able to scrape the rear bumper if I let the clutch out all the way:) :) :) :) :) :)
Actually, I wasn't reving it all the way to 7000RPMs. I put the 7000 chip in because that was the next chip I had above 6000. I believe I was reving it to about 6600RPMs. The last pass I made I think I went a bit higher, around 6800, and it quit pulling, did that in 3rd and 4th gear, and my ET suffered. I think thats those iron heads holding me back because that 560 lift roller cam and tunnel ram should be making power a little above 7000. The 8.05 pass went like this.
Launched at about 3300, it lifted good then stumbled, 1.82 60ft. Then it moved on out, it actually hooked up and went straight in 1st and 2nd, then when I hit 3rd it shook the tires real hard (you can see it sliding sideways and haze the tires in the video) but I stayed in it till it quit at the top of 3rd and pulled forth. 8.05 @ 85.87 MPH. I have to say I was afraid to hurt it on the first pass, and by the 4th and last pass I was leaning on it torturing it a little. Oh well, a story for the grandkids. One more thing speaking of kids, yours had the biggest grin on his face when he ran up to me in the pits after the race and handed me the pic of your car that read "I was beaten by this Corvette". That was too funny. The pic is on my tool box in the shop for the time being, It will be in my car when I make my final appearence at the Cruise at the sssssonic on the 16th. Take care, Mark.

I sent you pics; let me know if you don't get them. The cars we race belong to my business partner, and I'm the tuner/crew chief. It's all fun... :chevy
I'd love to see the pics too. There's this sweet yellow 57 Chevy Pro-Street Hotwheels car our physics teacher keeps giving my group for physics experiments :D
