Clutch Replacement.
Hey im new to the formum. I Recently got a 74 with i beleave the L48 motor, because the 5th number in the vin is J. im prety sure my clutch is slipping because the car will bearly move. rpms go up when i hit the gas but its being a snail. I recently went to Advanced Auto to get a clutch kit and they wanted to know what size the clutch disk was 10.4" or 11" and how many splines? is ther a way to find out without taking the bellhousing off? and can sone one walk me through the steps to putting the new clutch in? Im 19, prly one of the youngest pple in here so i appreciate you guys with all your knowledge.

11 inch clutch ck the starter the 2 bolts are offset 10.4 they are straight across get your self a shop manual it will really help you out with alot of projects on your car assembly manual is important too.
