Hood Clearance Help
Hi Everybody!
So I was having hood clearance problems ('72 350, Weland intake manifold, Edelbrock Performer carb) and had to run a bugeye air cleaner that still scratched the inside of the hood, so at the advice of a friend I picked up an Edelbrock Performer (not RPM) intake manifold and it's even taller than the Weland.
So I'm looking for advice on what kind of aluminum intake manifold I can use with my Performer carb and still get a stock air cleaner on the car.
Anybody been in this situation?

Been there, but i couldn't run the stock air cleaner. Performer vortec (not RPM) intake and carb, with a dropped base air cleaner with a 2" filter element. Gave me about a 1/2" clearance at the front of a '79 L48.
