Muncie Tranny Troubles
My M21 has jumped out of 4th gear on a long down hill deceleration. This started last summer and has only happened 3 times so far. All the other gears seem fine. Would this be the syncro going bad?? Am I looking at a rebuild in the near future?? Trying to save for a new T45RS and I am reluctant to sink funds into the Muncie at this time.

I usually find that jumping out of gear problems are misadjusted shifters,loose linkage or loose shifter mounting brackets.If its not fully in gear they will jump out. I would tighten everything up and go through the shifter adjustment procedure using the Muncie alignment tool.

Could be the shifter stop bolt too.
