i was thinking about buying an adhesive from ecklers that i could use to put the carpet back down to the boards and panels and stuff...good i dea or no? has anyone used this stuff before?

Your profile doesn't say where you're from, Zach, so I'll just say that if you would ever need heat insulation and/or sound deadener installed under the carpeting, now is the time to do so. Lots of threads on these topics in the archives...
