Engine problems, need help!
So I finally got my tags for my 73 coupe, and took it for its first legal ride. Before this I had been driving it just around my community and everything was fine. Its first trip was to the gas station, since I was close to empty. As soon as I got the car going today I knew something not right. The car had absolutely no power. It seemed like the engine had to work twice as hard to move the car. I probably couldn't get above 30mph in third gear (can't be sure, since my speedo doesn't work). I drove it yesterday and everything ran right. Now the exhaust is popping like crazy and the car just doesn't want to go. What could have gone wrong in only 24 hours (no even)? What should I check first?

I'll definitely check that out. The reminds me of another piece of info I left out. I did run completely out of gas yesterday and had to go get a little bit in my little 5 gallon gas tank to put back into it in order to get the car home.
