Default Ford 9"Axle

Has anyone fitted a F**d 9" axle to a C3, or know of a thread covering this swap? Cheers Nick

Hi, I'll be running a 600hp supercharged engine and from what I read, the Standard Vette set-up can't cope with that sort of power. I'm being advised to go for a 9" setup! Cheers

Hey Nick,
Ask Dale over on the UK site...I believe he gave you the good price for the doors...he will be able to put you in touch with Bernie Chodosh who builds and races custom C1's. He will have all the info you need.

There are a few guys on here who have posted about solid rears...

I had already spoken to Bernie when I posted in this thread. I may have Bernies number on my PC but not at home right now.

A Ford 9 inch is about as good as it gets. Best time to narrow the rear too. If you want nearly a bullet proof rear then the Ford is the answer. Check the back of a National Dragster News and you will probably find several companies offering such a set up both rigid and suspended. ...

Thanks for that...not heard anything bad about the 9" axle. Taking the body off soon, so Ideal time to do it.
