Tach Needle
Well I got up early today to put my dash back in, nothing but grief, after almost 10 hours of screwing around I got it. Then I look at the tach and the needle is lying on the bottom. Not to mention the dash lights quit and the speedo cable was pulled out !!!!!!!!!!!

Going to take another run at it. Sure hope the tach needle just presses back on. I couldn't have had the speedo cable on all the way (big PIA)and my courtesy lights are sparking out on the dynamax which could be a clue to the dash lights.
Usually the advice here is great but now I have to to this with a sore head. No one specified how many beers !

I have to pull my tach as well. Last owner didn't read the instructions and installed a new board without setting the needl so it idles on the 4,000 rpm mark.

Hi John,
I find the dash to be so difficult to work on because our hands and arms are too big, the tools are either too big or too short, and as you make progress putting it together you cover up so much work that if there's a problem you have to back track so far to get to it.
