quick trans filter question, 76 c3
changing out the trans filter...
after installing the one thick-shouldered support bolt, this filter still wobbles all over the place and i can easily pull the pickup out of the filter even with the bolt in.
i think that i must have lost a very thick washer that gets sandwiched inbetween the filter and trans? otherwise i see no reason for the bolt to not have a shoulder only as thick as the filter housing itself so it can actually get snug.
anyone?

TH400? No washer, just the bolt. And yes, it rattles around like a jackass in a tin barn. Lube both ends of the tube, new o-ring on the upper end, make sure you get the old ring out! Push the tube in the trans until it seats, then push the filter up until it seats, put the bolt in and go. Once the pan is back on the filter rests on the 2 dimples in the pan and can't fall off.
