What are some good exhaust suggestions for a SB to BB swap?
I don't want side pipes as I don't want it right in my ear, my main concern here is what headers to use?
Does anyone make a block hugger style for the BB that fits our C3s?
I think Hooker makes the Supercomp for C3s with big blocks but how much of a P.I.T.A. are they to put on and does it really clear everything??
I assume they would have to be installed from under the car after the engine is on the mounts? OR can I drop the drivetrain in with them bolted to the block?
I think 'd really like a set of shorties or block huggers just for simplicities sake
I've been running the Hedmans for close to 20 years. At idle the right side would tap against the frame ever so slightly so, at their recommendation, I put a little heat on that tube and bent it in slightly. They've been perfect ever since and you'd have to look closely to find the crimp. I did send them out to Jet Hot for a heat coating and am very glad I did- they still look great after many years.
I don't think it'd be worth trying to stuff the motor into the car with headers on- better to bolt them on afterwards. A good 2 1/2" system (mandrel bent if you can afford it) and some free flowing mufflers would work very nicely. If your motor is going to be comfortably over 500 HP it would probably be worth the extra $$$ to get a 3" system. Just be ready for it to bark loudly!

Installing them with the motor is probably impossible, but installing them (Hedman) from underneath is way easy.
I dont think I have ever had an easier set to install on any car.

Yeah, color me embarrassed for even mentioning it, sometimes my lazy brain makes my mouth cause me to look like I rode the short bus!
