Default Engine miss at idle
Have been experiencing problems with my engine missing at idle. It appears to happen when the dual spal fans come on. I do have a 100 amp alternator and this problem is new. Did not happen in the past. Any ideas? Could my alernator at idle now not be producing sufficient amps at idle for the MSD and Spals?

Probably vacuum leak off of the 5-8 runner. Thats the vacuum source for most of the systems.

Don't think it is a vacuum leak, it only happens at idle with fans running.

You could check the voltage at idle with the fans on to see if that's the problem.

it might be something with the emissions..I had a car that idled terrible and it was the egr valve.....it was full of carbon.

I have been doing this for about 35 years, and that is the most common cause of miss at idle. I wouldn't dismiss it off hand.
