Temporary Insanity!
I took the car for a drive this morning, and all I kept saying was, "What was I thinking?" I love that car and I am glad that it didn't sell. Has anybody had a similar experience? I remember years ago, when I sold my 68 Convertible, my wife said I visibly slumped 2 inches as it drove away with the new owner at the wheel! Hopefully my temporary insanity has passed and I'll hang on to this one!

Today I am looking for a bumper convertible to trade for my 69 coupe 4 speed.
I guess I missed the C3 vert too much. I like my midyear vert but like the shark body style.

Glad I kept the car. It is my favorite

It just didn't do it for me performance wise, with the 327 300hp TH400 auto.
I had a couple of interested people, but I held off.
Then as our Ausie dollar climbed in value against the greenback, the lure of a crate engine and a Tremec 5sp made me bite.
What a transformation a transplant makes.
I hadn't taken the vette for a spin for several weeks, and had spent the last week driving my wife's 4 cylinder Mazda.
Well the sun was shining today (It's winter down here in the Land of Oz)
and it was a cloudless sky.
Covers came off the vette, top was put down, and I was out in the hills, blasting through the twisties, one redline gear change to the next.
The native fauna scattered in all directions, and the occasional lack of traction on takeoff left a very distinct aroma in the air... I shudder to think that next years vintage of semillon sauvignon blanc may have the essence of BF Goodrich on the palate

I had a ball today.
There's no way I'd part with my chrome bumper convertible now.
I just love days like today.
If I ever consider selling my vette, just highlight this post right back at me!
