Car has been running hot lately and in looking at this problem I decided to take a hard look at the timing to make sure it is on the mark. I have read BarryK's sticky on ignition timing (great read Barry) and other articles by Lars (excellent also). Two questions I have:
1. I checked my distributer weights and found that there are two different spring types installed. One looks like stock and the other very light. Can't believe I didn't check this long ago!! I assume that this is a no no and I should buy new ones. Correct??
2. the vacuum can has a number 63, inside a circle, stamped on it. From Lars's paper (Vacuum Advance Specs), I cannot figure out the specs on this can. Can anyone shine some light??

Reason: spelling
Usually, (not always) when someone sets up the advance curve they end up with a light and a heavy spring. I wouldn't be too excited about it until I had a chance to check the curve.
