trouble installing trans
Trying to put trans back in after new clutch, used the line up tool but I cant seem to get trans back on splines, tried moving shaft but still no go Should I remove clutch and try to reinstall??

The plastic line up tools are junk.
Have someone push the clutch pedal in and try to install from there.
The last half inch is getting the input shaft in the bushing.

On almost any car, sometimes it's just a mess, I find that if at all possible to loosen the bolts on the pressure plate just enough you can get that clutch disc to slide around a tad but not slip down useless....that way you can get a couple bolts into the tranny, and then tighten those pressure plate bolts,
I have found clutch position tools to work only some times...

Yeah this weekend has been fun, took off belhousing yesterday and set it onthe bench and noticed a crack after a small tap it busted luckily had another one and then today the trans is still not back in. Well tomorow may be better.. Hopefully
