Default Getting ready for spray....

Well after another weekend at the track a few months ago I am ready to set up the car on a bottle. I am kinda getting ahead of myself but at the moment the budget dictates everything I do with the toys.......I really need a strong rear setup to be able to come out hard but that kinda money is just not gonna happen right now.....soooooo I plan to leave fairly soft like I have been and spray the car just past the tree.

I am shooting for a high10's pass on a 150 shot which I think should happen with out a problem, I should be able to run those time with less spray if I could come out hard but if I did I really think the rear would break.

A few months back at the track I ran a 12.14 @ 117 this was with a 3k launch and some pretty bad wheel spin....I was only doing 2.2 60' which suck but are safe for the rear. I want the car to hit the 10's this year....I should be able to run mid 11's on the engine alone but only if I could leave around 4500 and it stick.....I will have to spray for now.

I plan to buy the kit in a few weeks and start plumbing the car now so that part will be out of the way.

Will post results as soon as I have them

I am running a 355ci 11.6:1 Ross pistons forged Aluminum, Eagle H-Beams floating wrist pins, steel crank and a 4 bolt main. I am using Trick Flow Aluminum Twisted wedge heads that have been worked, Victor Jr. manifold with a 750 Mighty Demon and a Comp solid Flat tappet cam.

The engine is nothing crazy just a good combo that works well.

Running 3:73 with a 28" Mickey T drag radial, the car really needs 4:33 or 4:56....I am currently going through the traps at 5k.....the car actually runs about the same if I stretch 3rd or pull 4th the only difference is a few mph

This is why I am going to spray first and let the car tell me how much gear I will need if any....this gear is great for putting on the street to local shows and cruise in's.

I am first going to run the car again on the engine and try to get a 1.8 60'....I think the car will break into the 11's if I can get better short times....it's there it's just a matter of how hard I come out

I'd try a 26in. tire before a gear change. 28 is very tall.
