Here is a few pictures of my new set up. Still got a few thing to do but its on the ground. I will be cutting the front springs to lower the front.
It has a 29x11.5 Hoosier quick time pro on it with a 8.5 wide rim with a 4 7/8 backspace. I did modify the chassis a little. I had to cut open the rear tube for clearance for the ride height I wanted.
Nice
12 Bolt looks good under there.
Did you modify the frame rail to fit that tire?
Yes I did. I removed the double thick support that is next to the opening of the trailing arm hole. I then bang in the frame rail before I closed the hole up with the metal plate that come with the kit. Just got my moser girdle cover for the 12 bolt today. I just had that old cover to throw on until I got the new one. A 12 bolt looks bad *** under a Vette.

That looks great! I'm going to have to remove that double piece, too.
One question, I see your track bar is mounted on the front of the drivers side frame slanting to passenger side. Mine is the other way, and I've seen picts for both ways. What made you choose that way?

I dont think it matters at all. I had it that way on my vega so I just did it the same.
How much space do you have between the frame and the tire? What do you think you need when you lower the tire pressure?
Get us some more pics of the rearend with the new cover man.
It is very close to the side of the frame. I might put a small spacer on it just to be safe. I'm thinking of trying a 10" rim and that would bring it away from the chassis also but it would bring it out past the whell well lip more than I have now. I have a Moser 33 spline spool and axles. I'll post more pictures once the new cover is on.
What #lb springs did you end up starting with? I think the only real changes I might need to is change spring rates to get it exactly where I would like it. I think I might need a little higher rate than the 150# I have now. Or, maybe less, who knows.

I went with the 150lb springs after talking to Josh. These are the springs he recommended. I thought they might be too stiff. A 4 link car should have the softest spring possible. The spring should just hold the car at ride height. I have mine set that the shock is 12" center to center. That leaves 2" of compression and 1 1/2" for extension. As long as the springs dont coil bind on compression were good to go. My vega that weighed in at 2800lbs had 95lb springs. It did use a longer shock than the vette shock. Thats why they us a stiffer spring for the lesser shock travel.
Yeah the springs are only $70 for a pair. Remember Dave the bottom bracket is adjustable, so you can set you shocks at the correct length and then use the bottom brackets to move your ride height.
I called QA1 and gave them my rear weight (1728lb) and they suggested I needed 200lb
At the track it hooked great with the springs just a very little preloaded, not much at all, but I didn't measure them, but this only gave me 1" of compression left in the shock. I set the shocks on 3.
I ordered the fittings to convert to AN-3 or -4? and braided lines to match with one side a right angle. Speedwaymotors had the stuff. It made it real easy to run my line out of the way.
Ron, did you mount your calipers on the front side or the rear side of the rotor? Does it make a difference if they are on the front or rear? I think I want to mount them on the front side.
I don't think it would make a difference. Just make sure your bleeder screw is pointed up. I mounted mine on the rear just so I could get to the 4 link bars and hyme joints easy. I will say it comes close the spring coils in the back though. Doesn't touch, but close.
