I have a 1975 Corvette and the driver's side marker light only has a turn signal. When the running light is pulled it does not light up. The side marker on the passenger side works fine. I have wired in LED turn signals into the front bumper running lights, but the wiring is the same side to side. If anyone has any ideas it would be much appreciated.
Does the left turn signal work and parking light work OK ? If you pull the bulb out of the L side marker and probe the contact that is connected to the brown wire is it hot with the running lights on ?
When i use a test light on the driver's side socket when the running lights are on the test light turns on. Also the turn signal works normal. The light on the passenger side works fine.

I believe the left side marker parking light gets its ground through the left turn signal bulb.I would check the black ground at the left turn signal socket. (I would guess if you put a standard bulb back in the turn signal socket the light would not work well. I think the led bulb is hiding a lack of ground issue in that socket)
One thing you can try is to hook the alligator clip on your test light to ground and with the probe end touch it to the outside case of the turn signal bulb and watch the side marker and see if it lights up-this will give the turn bulb a good ground.
