removing ac on 79
I am looking at removing all the AC complonets that are in the firewall, looking at it looks like it could be a real headache, I know some people on here have done it, What does it involve to get it out of the firewall and do you have any tips that might make it easier thanks

I removed the evaporator housing from the firewall in my 77. There is one bolt that you remove from inside. It is on the bottom - just peel your carpet back to get it. ACDelete.com makes a cover plate to look like the car never had AC. It will fit around your existing heater coil. I had to remove the exhaust header on my car to get the separator can out first. Also removed the access panel at the bottom rear side of the fender for access. I removed all the wiring because I got rid of my fan motor too, but you can mount your fan on the ACDelete cover. Well worth the effort in my opinion.
