Trailing Arm Replacement???
Ok i was uder my 82 the other day and look up at the Trailing Arm. And it has a big hole in the bottom of it. So I got another one. What all are the steps to taking mine off and putting the new one on.

OK - from memory... if you just want to replace the arm and not the bearings...
- Remove Tire
- Remove caliper and tie it up.
- Remove rotor - mark the placement so it goes back on in the same spot.
If it's rivited I think it still has to come off to change the arm.
- Disconnect e-brake cable.
- Unbolt half shaft on the backside of the arm. Remove the mount for it
that's attached to the spindle - one large nut.
- Remove Lower part of shock, shock mount, and strut arm.
- Remove 4 nuts holding the backing plate, caliper mount, and bearing
carrier to the arm. Pull the bearing assembly and stuff from the arm.
- Disconnect spring from rear of trailing arm. Jack it up to unbolt but be
careful.
- Pull the shim cotter key and pull out the shims if possible.
- Unbolt the front of the trailing arm and pull the arm out.
Reinstall in reverse. Torque spindle nut to 100 ft-# when you get to
that point.

Also, it's rather obvious, but if you have a rear sway bar, you'll need to disconnect it from the trailing arm. This isn't too difficult.
