If you are removing the visor with the rod, remove your T top and you will seel a round steel plug. Pry it out and you will see the retainer and spring. Pry the retainer off caerfully most times you will need a new retainer. They are a pain to get back on. I wouldn't remove them unless I really had to. The visor will just pull off the rod.
