well, just sold the '78.
Signed over the title, delivered the car, and got paid for the car this morning so the C3 is gone.
Down to just the '65 Vette now.
The last 3 years have been interesting and fun but time to move on.
BTW, even though I won't be visiting the C3 section anymore, or at least probably only rarely, my website's Tech Articles section http://lbfun.com/Corvette/Tech/vettetech.html will still be up for those of you that make use of it.

Barry, I remember a couple of years ago you paiting that car in the hopes of selling it. Were you actively trying to sell it all this time? It definitely is one nice car and I hope you got what you wanted out of it. Don't forget to stop in here and check in from time to time.
Kevin, it's been a few years now so you are one of the few people that remember that '80 frame replacement project. I still appreciate the tip for the frame source you gave me.
C3 4ME, the original idea was to fix it and flip it but after it was done my wife decided she wanted it for herself and after putting in all the work and effort on the car I couldn't bear to get rid of it so we decided to keep it. It was always for sale if the right person came along and offered the right price but we weren't really actively trying to sell it.
Lately though, unfortunately, circumstances changed and we needed the cash, the room in the garage, and a new daily driver for the wife all of which dictated that the '78 finally had to really go. I sold it for a lot less than what my asking originally would have been 2-3 years ago but with the market down I can't complain TOO much - I covered my cost on the car and we had 3 years enjoyment out of it.
I think it went to a good home and the new owners are only about 20 minutes away from me so they might end up joining our Corvette Club in which case I'll still get to see the car every now and than
Sorry to hear you won't be frequenting this section Barry and thanks for your contribution and help. I will be reading your much needed info from time to time.
Barry,
All the best and thanks for your many contributions. I took a different tack last summer and sold my C2 (1967) and bought a C3 (1974). No regrets. Time passes and our priorities change.
