Default Something strange with brakes

Ok, here is a strange one. I recently had the brakes fail completely, the pedel went to the floor with no resistance. The master cylinder was full of fluid, no loss. I replaced the master cylinder and bled the whole system, all 4 brakes. I drove the car 50 miles and the brakes worked fine. I got home and went for the brakes and nothing. The resivior is still completely full, no fluid loss any where. The right front caliper is full of air and appears to be the point of pressure loss but where did the fluid go. I live in Nebraska so I was not doing any hard braking. Any ideas?

Thanks

Mike

When the seals in the calipers get worn, they will ingest air if you have excessive rotor runout which causes the pistons to move in and out as you drive. You will also suck air past the seals on a normal brake release if they are worn.

That's exactly what happened with the '78 I owned several years ago. It sounds like your problem...the symptoms are the same.
