Are you looking to change control arms, springs rates or types (mono leaf, coil over, stock), suspension geometry? Also, there are alot of things to consider due to the unique geometery of the rear suspensions in C3's.
What's your goal: track days, autocross, drag racing, spirited street drivng?

Well I was thinking springs, shocks, bushings, sway bars. Autocross is what I want to go for. I want to have fun driving and taking corners. My bro did mention about the rear end being a pain. What should I do first? I was thinking doing front suspension this month and rear next.
I would do both at the same time. Last thing you want is a tail happy car at speed.
Here is what I did:
• Replaced all suspension part with new heavy duty parts
• Solid steel upper and lower control arm bushings
• Played with a few sway bars until I found the best bar for me
• Heim Jointed Sway Bar Links and aluminum block to hold the sway bar
• F-41 suspension front and rear springs
• Bump steer kit
• Heavy duty tie rod end sleeves
• Replaced the upper control arm camber/caster bolts
• New Bilstein shocks
• Solid bushing for the rear control arm
• Replaced the rear camber arms
• Rear Suspension Locating Kit (aluminum discs help eliminate cross member movement)
• Timken bearing

You might consider the VB&P Street & Slalom suspension package. You keep the front control arms but replace the springs and shocks. The rear replaces the spring and shocks, and both roll bars are replaced with heavier versions. I believe the rear strut bars and bracket are replaced with the SmartStrut package that allows control of rear camber change. In general you can get a better deal by buying a complete package than pieces on a monthly basis.
You should probably budget $ for a front end rebuild (ball joints, steering joints, etc) since you will no doubt find some nasty stuff when you start rebuilding your suspension. If the rear trailing arms need rebuilding budget more $.
You also need to know what the rules are for the group you will be Auto Xing with. Some of the suggestions so far will put you in a class that will cost you big bucks to be competitve on a local level. A C-3 Vette is not competitive in any SCCA class at the National level. That said start with new bushings in the front and back, at least F-41 springs in the front, decide what size and tire and rims you want to run, and most importantly how much money you want to spend. I fI was starting today and wanted a great AutoX car, I would buy a C-5 Z06 and use my C-3 as a weekend driver.
