wiring help please ...
last week i asked for some wiring help and got some ...i thought it fixed the problem..but not ..i just put a 383 crate notor and tremech 5speed in the ole 68 ..i could not get the car to fire ..i was told to remove the yellow wire to the starter and bingo it fired and ran ..over joyed i turned the car off went in and thanked the guy on the fourm for his help went back out and now i do not have spark at the coil...i am running a msd dist and coil the one that came with the dynoed motor ..i have 12 volts at the + side of the coil and 12 voilts at the - side of the coil ..when i turn the car over the - side does not pulse..it only dims ..i called msd they said to run a - wire right to the battery and to the dist ground ..did it nothing ..anyone one out ther have any ideas ...thanks fran

don't know if C3 is same as C2, but i learned my original '64 dash key switch drops power to the ignition on terminal during cranking. the engine wiring harness routed power to the coil during cranking to accomodate for this column switch "design feature"..
check if you have power at the coil during key "on" before cranking..

thank you for the reply ..i just got off the phone with MSD and they gave me a few things to look at ..i think in the long run it something stupid like 40 year old wiring ...i will check the volts at the coil today and if anyone else has any ideas i am open to em ..thanks again
