Default Offset Trailing arms?

What is my advantage if I decided to go with some offset trailing arms? Is their anything extra involved than just putting my old ones back on? Thanks

I've been wondering the same thing. All I know is, that you may need them to put on larger rims and wheels.

The only point to installing the offset trailing Arms is for more clearance to install wider Tires and offset them in for fender clearance.

They are also a lot stronger than the 2 c-shells tack-welded together.

That was the first suspension upgrade I did. Dropped the old ones off & called Van Steel for a new, complete offset trailing arm assembly.

Is there any reason that they'd be better than rebuilt or new regular trailing arms if you didn't run wider wheels and tires?

Probably not, they lasted 30 yrs, but I had the funds & wanted all new parts. Same with the front end, it all works, but going back in with tube a-arms anyway. When I'm done entire suspension will be at year zero with newer technology.
