My custom 68
Do tell us more about the

They work exceptionly well, just pull the small lever on the left hand hinge and you can remove the hood, when time to mount it again it just clicks into place, zero adjustment nessesery.
It is one of the small items that noone notices but it makes life so much easyer if you often remove the hood.
The only drawback is the insanely high price i paid 350$ for my chromed set, in black they are around 200$

and learned that you built the car and not an
outside source.
I have to say it again, you did a killer job on this build.
The car is stunning.

I was ready to cringe, but you've done a fantastic job of personalizing your Vette but still keeping the original lines of the car. Great Job!

as an example i have had 5 different engines, 3 completely different suspensions, 4sets of rims etc over the years.
My goal has been to improve the car at wintertime but be able to drive and enjoy it at summertime, i have only lost one summer season yet and that was due to a unfortunate accident where the car tumbled down from the jacks and cracked the left rear and front fender same day it came home from the paintshop

For me it is a never ending project wich plays a huge part for me enjoying the car.
The day i cant think of more to do i will probably part with it and look for a new project.
I have taken the following pictures with my cellphone camera

but next time it goes on the lift ill have my friend take some good pictures of the underneath.

Yes it's a street driven car, with that said i do not take it out when it's raining or snowing
and i do spend alot of hours polishing the car in between driving
a few more pictures for the ones that asked.
Inside hood upper section, all the edges where the top and frame was put together has been sanded out to make a smooth transsition

Lower section of the hood, it's very hard to take a decent pisture because of the myriad of reflections in it.

A poor picture of the front suspension, i had to take it lying on the floor didnt know where camera was pointing

you cane barely make out the Semi coilovers and the rack and pinion in this picture.

The old Porsche seats i found on Ebay in Germany, they are from a 911 turbo and are just fantastic well build seats, it's very hard to find seats that fits into a early C3, but these fit with a custom made buttom mounting frame without the driver sitting to high. I put Bison leather on them wich turned out really well IMO.

Another one of my stupid ideas, i found some small 4inch "PUNCH2 speakers that i mounted behind the original ventilation *****, i never used those anyways, I seldom hear radio or CD in this car but it's nice that you can actually hear the speakers now

The IDIDIT steering column works really well, i had to fabrikate some Firewall brackets to mount it properbly, i put my high/low beam switch up at the end of the turn signal switch, i tried to use the flaming river relay for this but it dosent work correctly, often it starts out with high beam on, so i ended up making my own, on this picture you can also see how i smoothed/sanded out the original bezels for the gauges, normally theres a groove for the front glass.

Another angle of the car, pictures was taken a few weeks ago at Club Corvettes 25th years anneversery

Convertibletop hood, as you can see i did not sand the edges out like i did on the hood, this will be done next vinter because there is gonna be made som heavy modifications to this door, it will be made to open and close with electrical actuators and all the hinges etc are gonna be made different.

Here is a better picture of the hoodsnap hinges they saved me a lot of time

A closeup of the inner fender shield.
