OK here I am Againin my other post talked about the wiper door opening as soon as we start the car have checked the lines and the vaccum units/swithes have been replaced. Tried reversing the lines yea that work for a bit but now. Had too replace the headlight switch (the bakelight broke stoping the ligths from turning all the way off) and now when we start the car both the headlights and wiper door come open and THEY will not go down unless I pull the lines off. The issue with the wiper door started when I reinstalled the door after drill and tapping out 2 bolts and now the head lights have started it when i replaced the switch. Prior to this the headlights never gave me a problem and I tried the switch out before I reinstalled the dash pads and it worked fine then I made sure I had the lines on right. New wiper switch solenoid and the wiperswitch under the arm, new lines(lights/wiper). the only switch I am not sure of is the one wiper (elec. solenoid) under the dash. the PO had bought everything and I would believe he would have replaced it too since he had bought everything else. Traced all the lines down again and I just Can't seem to get a handle on it! Not pulling my hair out yet but sure is #*^&^&.
What lines are you pulling off to get the lights and wiper to go down ?
You say you have the lines on correctly, what diagram did you use or go by ? If it was Corvette 101 that explains that !!!!!!!!!!
As DW said it could be the vacuum lines on the headlight switch. The line with the BLUE stripe needs to be on the front nipple. MANY of the vacuum diagrams show it on the rear nipple.

Alan
vacuum is on or off, or leaks usually leaks ! any line and any componet may leak.
get a vacuum test gage, take a base line reading of motor vacuum, with NOTHING....connected.
then go follow the lines and verifiy vacuum readings remain near your baseline.
concour and divide, 1 problem at a time, I would do the lights first then the wipers.
make sure you have a vacuum diagram, and assume nothing. 69VETT

That's it Alan : Since I am at my office can't tell whose kit we got but I do remeber that it and the other diagrams have the blue stripe on the back nipple. Hell I made sure that everytime i took the switch out that i made sure I put it on right each time. I am heading home and will go over to our shop and take the dash back apart and I HOPE for the LAST TIME!!!

Thanks Guys wro87
Also make sure the same blue hose going over to the pulldown bypass goes to the nipple closest to the **** that pulls out or down.
Thanks again I will check that too since have to drop the column anyway.
Haven't gotten up to the shop yet My oldest (ARMY in Iraq) is txtn now and we trying to set up when he get home next week have to go to Lambert feild to pick him up home on Leave OBOY
thanks for all the info gang. Checked all the outside lines again (Willcox you pic is the BEST. ) and then dropped the dash again. Well with using the light and mirror trick saw that one of the hose's had come of in the bowels of the dash. Put that back on and Evrything Works the wiper door is a little slow on going closed (but it does). Man was I happy fiannaly so took it out for a drive and when i walked around it saw the back up lights where stuck on. Guess I will have to tweek the switch a little more but have to get our c4 off the hoist first.
Thanks GANG wro87
Hi Ernie,
I'm looking at your diagram and have a question because I so much want to actually understand how and why these systems work.
What is going on with the yellow hose that comes from the wiper relay.... is there a 'T' that splits it to the headlights and does it also run to the vacuum reserve tank?
THANKS VERY MUCH FOR YOUR WORK!
