Default Steering braking problem.

I replaced the idler arm already. When i press on the brake the car pulls to the left. When i release it seems to try to correct itself. Now it started pulling hard to the right. Could a brake be sticking? Tires not pointing same direction?

Not sure why you replaced the idler arm. Sounds like the right front brake wasn't working making it pull left when you were on the brakes. Now it sounds like the right front brake is dragging/ stuck on the disc making it pull right all the time (assuming you mean it's pulling to the right whether or not you're on the brakes now).

Sorry. I thought you thought it was releveant to the braking problem and that's why you replaced it.

If it was me, I'd pull the right front tire and brake pads, get someone to work the brake and see if the pistons are moving in and out in the caliper like they should. And if that would look OK, check the left.

I would think about replacing the front brake hoses. It sounds like the right one is swelled almost shut internally, causing a delayed/reduced braking on the right. Then the right is not releasing due to the swelled hose. Just a thought that makes sense. It's not uncommon on these cars.

Excellent- I have heard of that before. Sounds like a better possibility than what I said about the caliper.

Had the exact same problem, hoses fixed it. Try it anyway, it's cheap and easy.

Yeah its defiantly the brakes. Gonna replace lines. It was so bad today. Luckily they didn't lock up while driving. They were smoking like crazy, hopefully the rotors are not warped.

What happens is the fluid runs to the caliper and the hose collapses so the fluid can't return and your brakes lock up. This happened to me on the highway year before last due to my old and worn rubber hoses. When all cooled down the hose opened up and the brakes released but they were completely shot. I ran all new stainless lines and had to replace the rotors (1 actually turned blue) and got new calipers - whole system basically. I used flexible braided hose to the calipers, now I stop on a dime.
