Not to sound like a total newbie, been working on card for 40 years. But I need a sanity check. I feels like my car is not hitting on all cylinders so to speak. I have new points, plugs, cap and rotor. I was using a multimeter to buzz the lines. 7 came back with a reading between 13.8 and 14.7 ohms. The last did not read at all. I tried to do a continuity check but none of the wires responded. I think it takes a certain resistance to trigger the chime in the checker. When I put a spark checker on the line it show I am getting spark, but does not seem as bright as the other and seems to miss ever 15 or 20 cycles. I know that wires are cheap, but is there a way to check that I have missed. Just doesn't feel right to through parts at it till it woks.
Remove the metal connectors on the ends of the 'bad' wire to make certain that the wiring is not broken and that it is in good contact with those clips. Use multimeter on that wire with the connectors removed to guarantee the wire's integrity. If good, reassemble the clips properly and check again. If not good, replace that wire...it probably has a break in it somewhere along its length.

Sounds like a plan I will pull it tomorrow after work.
