Trim Tag Decoding... Is this right?
So while working on my drivers door last night I decided to finally look at the trim tag.
Here is what I saw.
CHEVROLETD14 -> Looks like birthdate of D14 (or December 14th 1977 - September 1977 = A)
Trim 72C -> Red Cloth
Paint 19L - > Black?
Hmm. Black... Looks like sombody liked silver better.. Black with a red interior.. hmm that sounds sweet:cool:.

You are right, the D14 is the body build date with A=first month of prod, B=second, etc. So D14 would be Nov 14, 1977.
Trim 72C is = Red Cloth
19L = Black
