BB 4SP Header removal
Before I remove the clutch control shaft, can a header be removed with taking the shaft out? I am just not seeing it...but I would guess that there is a way...

You have to remove that shaft- it runs between the tubes from 5 & 7. On the outboard end is a 3/8 nut (9/16 wrench). Loosen that nut and the shaft will pull up out of the slot. Pull the pins from the adjuster and the throwout fork and it'll come right out. I found it's easier to disconnect the oil pressure line so I don't have to worry about breaking it. If you have an electric gauge taking the sender out might get you a little more room too. Get the front of the car as high as you safely can and the header will roll right out.
