Default Engine Experts, need input: LT1 Heads?

Does this deal look kosher? I'd like to get some expert feedback before I consider this...

You might be better off asking this in the C4 forum since theses are for the 94-97 LT1.

Not sure what you're asking. These are GEN II heads that won't fit on a GEN I SBC as the GEN II's are reverse-flow cooling.

If you're building a carb-d GEN II for your C3, then the price on these is too high IMHO and the machine work sounds iffy. Bigger valves won't help too-small ports, and there's no reason to deck these heads (?) Decently ported and overhauled LT1 heads are available for around that price or a bit more - and there are better heads in the aftermarket for around $1400 or so.

That's exactly what I needed to hear. I was a bit suspicious about the decking too (like, were they warped from overheating?)

Case closed, thanks everyone!
