Default 71 Corvette TCS HELP!

I recently picked up a 71 Vette. It has 350 / 270hp, auto with A/C. I have put in a new wiring harness (engine, front end, and A/C) and I purchased the TCS harness as recommended by Lectric LTD. My issue is that I can't seem to figure out what this connects to. Is there supposed to be a sensor on the right side of the block ? A solenoid on the carb ? My car is apparently been stripped of these items and I need some instruction as to what components are involved and how to install & hook them up. I have looked at the wiring diagrams but this does not tell me what I need on the car to install the wiring. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

If by TCS harness you are referring to a green cable with a double connector in the shape of a "V" then it plugs into a temperature sensor in the right head.

The other end connects to a blue wire between the head and the firewall.

You should also have a CEC solenoid mounted to the carburetor with two electrical and two vacuum connectors on it.

That is my issue, I don't have any sensor on the right head, no solenoid on the carb or on the transmission. What I need to find out what all the components I need to complete the TCS system and their locations. So far, I have figured out there is a sensor in the head, one on the trans, one on the carb... is there anything else ? Any relays or anything else that needs to be bought / hooked up ?

Also, there was mention of "CEC solenoid mounted to the carburetor with two electrical and two vacuum connectors" Where or what do the vacuum connectors go to ?

There is also a TCS relay on the firewall. The one in the transmission is a TCS switch. The CEC solenoid is a dual function device. It sets the minimum idle speed by extending the plunger when the key is switched on and when the key is switched off it retracts the plunger thereby ensuring the throttle plates are completely closed preventing dieseling.

The second function is to engage or disengage vacuum advance depending on the position of the sensor, relay and switch. One port takes vacuum from a ported source on the carburetor and the other port goes to the vacuum advance can on the distributor. You will need to look in your AIM or shop manual to see which ports goes to what.

Why are you putting all that stuff back on? If you are going for NCRS awards, it makes sense; if you are not, it doesn't. Do you even have the stock heads on your engine? If not, how will you install the TCS temp switch (special unit...not the same as normal temp sender)? None of this TCS stuff does any good for your car...it's only good for the environment. Lastly, the A.I.M. for your model year has all the detail on the TCS stuff so you can see what you are dealing with. Good luck.
