anyone know what kind of paint was used from factory on an 80, was it base/clear or acryl/enamal...need a temporary paint job thought to go with acry/enamel to get by

Hi FW,
I believe all 80s were painted with acrylic lacquer.
In 81, the cars built in St. Louis were still painted with lacquer, but the cars built in Bowling Green were painted with acrylic enamel BC/CC.
In 82 all cars were painted with acrylic enamel BC/CC.

Thanks alan I just didn't want to get into any complicated paint jobs as I'm shooting the paint myself for the time being, I've painted quite a few vehicles but none I cared about as much as this when I'm done all the restore I'll probably send it out and get it done base clear with some depth in the paint
