Default rag joint to steering column

1971 coupe- replaced soild body mounts with poly- and have tightened mounts inplace -steering column does not align with rag joint to steering box and the doors are now badly out. Car is still on blocks will its on wieght help by putting it back on wheels or do I adjust steering column some how? It is about 3/8 out from the hole on the rag joint!

Get the car on the ground.
Did you re-install ALL of the shims back into their COR$ECT positions????
Did you check and see if the poly bushings wer the SAME thickness as the aluminum ones from the factory??????
Did you center your body as required by using the holes in the door sill area to make sure the body is sguare to the frame as required?????????
DID you loosen your column so it could be slid off of the rag joint???????? OR...did you disconnect the rag joint and slide the body back away from the rag joint???????

Depending on what you loosened to get the column to come off of the rag joint ( if that is what you did) those brackets under the dah are adjustable to set the correct angle of the column in relation to the gear box.
