Definately black. I ordered a poster of this car several months ago. Let me find the link and I will post it.

It is black. Don't know who did the paint, but I can take credit for the wax job.
Unfortunately, she is dead in the garage now, debating engine rebuild or replacement. Trying not to break the bank.

This car was built in 1963. I saw it at a car show at Pebble Beach several years ago.
DOH! You know what? I wrote that based on memory of the article (Nov 2001 Hot Rod Magazine) and posted the scans of the pics without re-reading it, and actually it never mentions the year the prototype is from. My bad! Thats what I get for drinking and posting...
