Joined the NCRS today and ordered some publications. I would have
liked thumbing through some of these books as I'm not sure if some are over-lapping topics and info or I missed something. After submitting order I'm wondering if NCRS will have a booth at Carlisle with these books?

I didn't bother to look up ebay or amazon to see if these are for sale.
You'll need an Assembly Manual also. if you don't already have a copy. If you use the Tech Board on NCRS. I suggest, that you search the archives first for your answer.
Yes, NCRS will have the galleria of cars again at Corvettes at Carlisle and they will have these publications for sale there. A good group of individuals, willing to help fellow owners.
Hi DrB,
I'm glad you joined the NCRS. I think you'll find them a GOOD source of information.
Besides the Corvette display that Bob mentioned, they have a vendor's spot under the main grandstand where you can take a hands/eyes on look at many of the books they sell.
I also agree with Bob that the AIM is essential if your going to work on your car. Having the GM CHASSIS SERVICE MANUAL is a very good idea too.

Alan
ok so I am trying to figure out what I gain from joining NCRS. It looks like you can buy the publications with out being a member. Are there forums or something or articles you gain access to with a membership? I am wanting to restore some things on my C3.
congrats, Drbluevert, The people over at NCRS have been very helpful to me, you won't be dissappointed
For okgsds, you get acess to their technical discussion board, as on this forum they have a wealth of knowledge that they are willing to share, you also have access to their forum archives, and like here almost every subject has been covered, you just have to figure out how to use the search function to find the topic you are interested in. I think you can get a 30 day free trial to use the forum as a guest, but after that you have to cough up the $35.00 for a annual membership.
Hi O,
Another benefit that RV didn't mention is access to the THE RESTORER archives. The RESTORER is a magazine that's published 4 times a year (since 1974) and has many technical articles (and other interesting articles too) for older Corvettes. The articles are geared toward restoration not modification since that's the NCRS's emphasis.
I think the NCRS membership is a great thing for anyone interested in owning, working on, or restoring a stock Corvette. There are local chapters that you can be a part of and get to meet other owners and see their cars and work.
Regards,
Alan
I'm a member so I am a bit biased. Try it for 1 year...$35.
It all sounds great. I am going to join up in the next few days.. Sounds well worth the $35 a year. Especially for all the work I want to put into my little car.
