Hi all
I just got done rebuilding my rear end(new spider gears and housing and side bearings) new strut rods and all new bushings and U-joints.
when I test drove it there is a humming noise from the right side but it goes away when up on speed and little load on it, when I slow down the noise will be very loud at around 25 MPH.
Also when i get on it from stop no problems(except noted above) when i let off the gas the back of the car does a little left/right shimmy then if I step on the gas again it will do a left/right shimmy.... Or right/ left shimmy hard to tell. Could this shimmy be due to the fact I need to realign the car due to new strut rods??? I am moving and I need to fix this ASAP as I will be loosing my garage for a while.
