'69 Big Block Headers
Anyone know what brand of headers for a '69 427, 4 spd, A/C, Pwr Str, offer best clearance for numbers 1 & 3 spark plug wire attach boots?

header clearance
i had a 427 with hooker super comp, it's close at #1

I am running a set of McJacks with great clearance. The two caveats are that these are for cars with factory side pipes and they are VERY expensive.

Try Accel spark plugs, or pershaps other brands, that make a shorty style spark plug for extra clearance.

I use Hedman which are tight on no.1, but I use Taylor leads with 135 degree boots - these help a little.
