I installed this filter and tubing on my former 1967. It is -AN6 (3/8"): Army/Navy 37* single flare.

I used both but felt more comfortable with the solid tubing. The braided line is simply rubber with a fancy covering. And that rubber is subject to deterioration that can't be seen. But there is no doubt that it is a much simpler way of connecting things up.



BTW, here are AN 37* fittings.

well I might do both for now and then later on when I can better figure out where to route the metal line I will do the solid lines, also where can I get them
