you need to click it but the car is a 1974 stingray and as far as the vin goes if I read it right it is an l-48 with an automatic transmission if there is any other info you need let me know
but it looks like jim-bob got a hold of it and kind of did what ever they could to get the wire to stay

Hmmm, ok, beats the helloutta me. Temp Sensor? TCS switch?
It is an electrical sensor it seems, I had asumed a vacume switch. Someone smarter than me will pipe in
Ok so I got a few closer pics and I also followed the wire it seems to either go to the front of the car or to a plug looking thing in the firewall
here are the pics
in this one the wire is the blue butt splice
In this one I follow the wire bunched with some other wires
In this photo the group of wires go into the firewall
I think it might be a temp sensor if anything where does the original heater hose go from that part of the engine and where is the temp sensor

No idea if it has a heater or not because I think the blower is either busted or not hooked up but what I need to do it just first things first just buy the new wire harness for the engine and hook everything up nice and neat maybe even buy the dash wiring harness to be safe and then go into where that heater hose goes and try and get everything hooked up right I will also check that sensor between one and three

2 choices, (well 3 if you count possibly burning the car to the ground) Get a pre-bent line from one of the vendors, install a new filter in the carb and go with that, or (my choice) make a new line from the pump to the carb and install an inline AN fiting type fuel filter in that. The inline filters have more capacity that the one in the carb so they won't plug as fast if you get a load of bad fuel. But as paul 74 stated, the filter in the carb is plenty.
