Frame Experts
I am looking at a 1970 thru 1972 Corvette Maybe 73 anyway.
Am I right or wrong, a 1969 thru 1972 frame will work with out modification ( Bolt on)
A 1973, 74, 75 frame will work with 1970 thru 1972 but the front of the frame needs different bolt on pieces.
Set me straight

The only difference on the 73 frame is the mount heights (haven't check for sure) and the front bolt up. the 74 frame is similar to the 73 with the addition of the first generation 5 MPH bumper (last 12" of the frame is slightly different) the 75 and up frame have a shock that mounts inside the rear frame rail for the 5 MPH bumper

So if I understand 70 - 72 will work fine 73 - 75 will work with modifications. Will 1969 frame work?

Just curious did you get the Chevy Power Manual that will help make the frame better? If I ever take a notion to redo my car again, I will pull the body and do some of the mods described in the manual.

As I remember, there is less "gusseting" (reinforcement) on the '69 frames.

Are there any differences between convert and coupe frames on the C3's?

69 frame is identical to 70-72. All but late 68 frames lack the rear kickup gusset but could be easily added so a 68 would work for you as well.
