Default Engine Suffix Code help!

Hello,

I am having trouble deciphering a engine suffix. Can anyone help?

The code is:

V0618FRS

V = Flint Michigan
06 = June
18 = 18th of June
FRS????

Thanks in advance for any help.

I am looking in my book and I don't see any engine codes for Corvettes that start with FRS, after 69 they all started with C and then in 79 started with Z. It may not be a Corvette engine at all, whats the other info like what year car is it in?

I used the Corvette Restoration guide 1968 to 1982 by Richard Prince but this web site has good info also.

It is in a 69 L46 car. I'm thinking that it isn't a Corvette engine.

UGH! chevymania.com has a search engine for suffix codes, and that comes up as an 85 Truck block.
