I removed the AIR pump and valves and had no ECM problems, but I also installed a heated O2 sensor just in case. The install was rather hard but would have been much easier if I had a second person helping.
I guess the main points I could give you would be; do not tighten the header bolts until you get the side pipes mounted - this will give you more movement to get them adjusted correctly. You will have to jack up the left front of the vette about 2.5 feet so the headers will clear the steering box - be careful! I also changed out my motor mounts before I installed the Headers.
Rocker panels had to be trimmed to fit the headers, but a lot of people don't need to do this - I did. These Hooker side pipes/headers seem to fit each C3 differently.
I have seen others install the O2 sensor differently, but my works perfectly where I installed it.
I have some more pics of my install if you need them.
You are going to LOVE these pipes!!

I know I said not to tighten the header bolts until after the side pipes go on, but if you are in the mood, run them straight off the headers, without the pipes for a few minutes - the sound is deafening and sounds like a top fuel dragster I got most of my neighbors outside wondering what the loud noise was.....

Post up when you do the install this winter, especially if you have anymore questions, there are some good side pipe people on here!
