Default Sag in rear?

New to the Vette world. My dad left me his 76 Vette and I just installed new rear leaf. Still sags, What can I do to lift the back of this car an inch or so?

Thanks Mike in Ct.

Have you adjusted strut rods?
An alignment might help if wheels appear to be slanted inward or outward.....
Good Luck....

Do you have the long (10 inch) bolts or the stock short ( 8 inch) bolts? PG.

I think they are the 8" bolts. The spring I took out had 11 leafs and the new one has 9 and still sags the same.

I believe the stock bolts are just under 6" in length.

Im a little confused. I bought new bolt kit for rear the leaf (standard length) witch measure 8"s then looking in the catalog it list long bolt kit at 8"s for lower ride hieght. Did they send me the wrong bolts? Part# says they are standard lenght.

It's been a while since I replaced those bolts but the ones I took off I think were 6 & 7/8", the truck replar shop had 7" and they were grade 8 but no holes for a cotter pin so I used 2 nuts. Point is shorter bolts will bring the body up. PG.

I installed 8" bolts in lieu of the originals to drop the rear of the car due to the classic poorly-made-aftermarket-spring syndrome. The originals are somewhere off in the storage pile, not sure of the exact length.

The originals are 6" and on my car at the moment.

These are 8" and in my basement inventory or storage pile as Mike said. You can see there is a lot of thread for adjustment. But I simply do not need it. Where did they come from? I can't remember. It was from some company at Carlisle years ago.
