I think I've seen at least 5 or 6 companies making Corvette frames. I think a company called SRIII makes a very rigid tubular with C5 or C6 suspension. You can even get one already setup for a LS motor.
Get the frame setup for C4/C5 suspension. The motor you want to get it setup for is the LS series motors. Gobs of power and rock solid reliable. Put in a 6 speed behind it and you will be good to go. It won't be cheap but you can drive it for thousands of miles with no worries.

c4/c5 suspension has better design geometry. Rack and pinion is a must.
What the purpose of this car? Cruiser? race? That will help us debate the frame and the engine.
If your talking 500hp make sure whomever is building your frame that they use a strong rear differential.
