Pertronix HEI
I purchased a HEI kit with flame thrower coil , to replace my old points and coil. I have an resister presently, do you recommend to still use the resister or not. 1968 427/ B.B.

Hi
The instruction sheet of my older Pertronix says to keep the coil on the resistor wire , but hook the red wire to the ignitor unit to full car Voltage 12 V , unresisted.
But I think this is a Pertronix 1 unit, not sure anymore.
