I have the console apart in my 1977. Connected to the neutral safety switch is a flat wire connector with three pink wires connected to it, two on one side and one on the other. On one side its hot all the time and on the other side it's only hot when the car is in gear. When I took the console apart it was not connected to anything. Any help on what that plug is for would be helpful. The car will turn over in park and netural and the back up lights work as well so no problem there.

well one other thing.....remember that spot because when you neutral safety switch dies you have an immediate by pass.....i am pretty sure that when I had my console apart a couple of years ago that i made a bypass harness to plug into those wires and put it in the tool box behind the pass seat just in case i needed to bypass the neutral safety switch
